How Electric Grids Work

many of us take electricity for granted. I mean it's there for you when you cook, clean, workout, go to work, shower, listen to music, surf on your laptop, or watch tv. It's like the air we breathe: we don't know it's not there, till it
s not there anymore. So there's actually a flow between the source of electricity till it finally reaches wherever you're at. Here's how the electrical power grid works. It goes from the power plant to the transmission substation. From there high voltage transmission lines bring it to a power substation. Then a transformer moves it along power poles till it finally reaches a transformer drum and then finally to your home.
